for the entries, we received some great poems and it's unfortunate that
not everyone can be a winner!! Here's
all our entries in our
Christmas Around the World Poem
Competition
held in 1999. The best entry in each of the three age groups
received a $15 book voucher, donated by Rochedale State School. The competition
was
open to Primary School Age children from all countries around the world
and the topic was "Christmas
Around the World".
Poetry could be of any style - Rhyming, Acrostic etc, the choice is yours!!

Rules:
1. All poems must be the
original
work of the student submitting them.
2. Three categories are open - Year 1 to 3 students, Year 4 to 5, and Year 6
to 7 or approximate age groups.
3. Entries closed 10 December, 1999 and winners will be published
on this page on 17 December, 1999.
4. Prizes will be sent to the winning entry as long as that entry has
supplied a postal address. Postal address may be a school address or post
box number to protect the privacy of the students entering.
5. Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
